Department of Infant and Childcare (BS, MS)

Our goal is to train childcare and education professional personnel that can integrate theory with practice, possess logical thinking, and are compassionate, innovative and reflective to meet the childcare demands of our family, society and nation, increase the professional quality of domestic child care. We provide courses and curriculum, grouped into five different fields, based on our faculty member’s specialty: child health, education, early treatment, welfare and administration. These courses will help students develop rational thinking, enabling them to understand, evaluate, apply and reflect upon issues related to childcare, as well as active involvement in industry research and development.

Eligibility for Admission Applicants must be graduates of vocational colleges or higher institutes, and have at least one year or more of practical work experience with infants and children.
Required Application Documents

Please bind the following application documents in two sets in the following sequence. One set is for use in the qualification review, and the second set is for review by the department.
1. Two copies of the application form.
2. Two passport copies.
3. Two photocopies of highest academic diploma.
4. Two copies of summary table of working experiences.

5. Transcripts of highest education level.
6. Three copies of the applicant’s autobiography and graduate institute study plan.
7. Proof of Working Experience.
8. Applicants who have practical infant or child care work experience should submit related work documentation.
9. Any information, documentation, or related licenses (language or professional) that sufficiently prove the applicant’s research potential.

10. Relevant data, documents, or licenses to prove Chinese language proficiency.

Chinese Language Proficiency

TOCFL Level 2 or higher (including listening, reading, speaking test)

Degree Conferred Master of Science (MS)
